Traditional Culture and Performing Arts – Short-term Experience Program for Foreign Visitors

Perfect for visitors and residents alike, Arts Council Tokyo's year-round Japanese 'cultural experience' events are back. From traditional dancing to flower arrangement, kimono-wearing, shamisen-playing, a koto music workshop and engei (traditional entertainment), the options sure are plentiful. Events are generally held near popular tourist spots or easily accessible locations such as Haneda Airport or the Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center, meaning that even if you're short on time you're bound to be able to pop by for one of these.
