German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans gained international recognition in the 1990s for his raw, candid portraits of friends, club-goers, and political activists. He has since expanded his artistic practice to include a wide range of subjects and techniques, from still lifes and landscapes to abstractions and installations. His works often blur the boundaries between genres and challenge conventional notions of photography and representation.
