Yang Fudong: The Coloured Sky: New Women II

Louis Vuitton's Hors-les-murs ('over the walls') project aims to spread awareness of the extensive art collection lorded over by the French luxury brand's Paris-based foundation by presenting select parts of it at LV gallery spaces around the world. Omotesando's Espace Louis Vuitton is now giving Tokyoites another taste of the goodness with this exhibition centred on a video piece by acclaimed Chinese contemporary artist Yang Fudong. Examining the complexities of contemporary Chinese society from a symbolic, detached perspective, Yang looks at the border of truth and falsehood in 'The Coloured Sky: New Women II', a depiction of women wearing vintage swimwear on a synthetic beach.
