Zodiac Exhibition – Rooster

The Ancient Orient Museum, tucked away on the seventh floor of the Sunshine City complex in Ikebukuro, will be focusing on the year ahead with this display of items related to 2017's Chinese zodiac animal. Almost anything with a chicken or rooster carved or drawn on it, from earthenware and pottery to jewellery and coins, will be on show, with pieces dating back all the way to the fourth century BCE. If you want to know more about life in the ancient Orient, including Mesopotamia and Egypt, this is the place to be.
