Mount Takao is one of Tokyo's top hiking spots, and is in fact so popular that it's often best avoided on weekends and around holidays. Keio Takaosanguchi Station, the hub through which most Takao visitors pass, got a much-needed upgrade in spring 2015, which is also when this bathhouse and restaurant complex opened. Designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma, the two-storey building is intended as a relaxation spot for both tired hikers and area residents.
