Moominvalley Park Night Walk: Illumori no Oto

Saitama prefecture’s Moominvalley Park is hosting a special evening Adventure Walk around Lake Miyazawa. The illuminated 1.8km-long path features a mystical atmosphere, complete with sparkling illuminations, a dedicated story involving the Moomins and special sounds generated through augmented reality (AR) technology. To participate, you’ll need to download the smartphone app Locatone (iOS/Android). At ten different spots along the route, your location and movement will activate different sounds. The Adventure Walk takes about 60 to 90 minutes to complete, so make sure to charge your phone before visiting. And don’t forget to bring some earphones as well.  The event takes place daily from 5.30pm to 8pm until January 9 2023, except Nov 9 & 16, Dec 31 and Jan 1 2023. Note that the story itself is narrated in Japanese only and the path is not wheelchair and stroller accessible.
