Celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary at Tokyo Skytree's observation deck, which will have special Disney and Pixar decorations for the occasion. As soon as you enter the elevator, you’ll be greeted by images of popular characters such as Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, Rapunzel, Buzz Lightyear and Simba. When you arrive at the Tembo Galleria, 450m above the ground, you can snap a pic at the photospot decorated with sketches from classic Disney movies.
Follow the 110m-long corridor to see images and information about iconic scenes from Disney films. It’s also worth making a pit stop at the Tembo Deck gift shop, where you’ll find exclusive Disney 100th anniversary goods including tote bags, T-shirts, keychains and cookies.
When you’re back down on the ground, don’t miss seeing Tokyo Skytree illuminated with Disney character-themed lighting. The 634m-tall tower will be lit up in seven different colour combinations that represent Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Snow White, Ariel, Winnie the Pooh, Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Each colour combination will alternate every two minutes on April 20, 22 and 29 from 7.15pm to 12midnight; May 3, 5, 6, 7, 13, 20 and 27 from 7.30pm to 12midnight; and June 3 to July 15 from 7.45pm to 12midnight.
