Time Out says

Ikebukuro often gets overlooked when it comes to Tokyo neighbourhoods with top-notch bars, but you only need to visit Bar Libre once to see the area in a whole new light. Opened in 2011, this basement bar across from the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre combines an old-school feel with cutting edge cocktails.

There’s a diverse menu of classic tipples, fresh fruit cocktails and inventive signature drinks, but the best way to order is to simply name your favourite spirits and flavour profiles for bespoke cocktails made on-the-fly.

Try the Fake White, made with gin, tomato, black tea and yoghurt for something to surprise your taste buds, or the Japanese Espresso Martini with hojicha (roasted green tea) for something classic with a local twist.
