The cat fetish in Japan doesn’t stop at cafés. At Cat Bundan Bar ('literary world bar'), located near Shinjuku-Sanchome Station, you can enjoy a tipple while browsing select books about – you guessed it – cats. Like its sister shop in Golden Gai, this bar aims to cheer up the publishing industry and support young, mainly cat-focused writers, making it one of the good guys in our book. Just keep in mind that no live cats can be found here.
