Mezcal, that other Mexican liquor made from agave, is the protagonist at this Roppongi bar stocking around 200 different varieties of this potent form of booze that's long languished in the shadow of tequila. Jicara, which plausibly claims the title of largest mezcal-dedicated bar in Asia, also boasts a long list of fruit-based mezcal cocktails – real Mexicanos might not approve, but we're guessing the joint might have a hard time attracting Japanese drinkers without these unorthodox concoctions. The food menu is far more acceptable: think basic, grilled and meat-heavy.
