Time Out says

Taking a break from shaving during the month of Movember? Since starting life in Australia's Melbourne back in 2003, this annual beard-growing celebration has become a global phenomenon, with celebrities jumping on the bandwagon and a variety of facial hair contests taking place, all for the admirable cause of raising awareness and money for men's health issues (especially bladder cancer, prostate cancer and mental health). This year, Tokyoites can show off their whiskers at the main party on November 26, when impressively bearded gentlemen and supportive ladies get together at Omotesando's Noi for beard contests, Guinness-sipping and much more. Make sure to join in the toast with Ireland's favourite stout before taking a photo with froth all over your moustache. You can also donate to the Movember cause between November 13 and 30 at a total of 11 bars and pubs in Tokyo and Yokohama – see the full list here.

Organisers Hige Club will forward your donations directly to the Movember Foundation (Australia) and the Princess Takamatsu Cancer Research Fund (Japan).
