Time Out says

Award-winning bartender Shingo Gokan has outdone himself again. The current series of his ‘globetrotting’ multicourse meals with cocktail pairings features dishes prepared by guest chef Masahiro Hamaguchi of Italian restaurant Sel Sal Sale in Ebisu. In January, the selection will change to highlight some of the best food and drinks served at SG Airways dinners over the past year. We won’t go into detail about the food and cocktails, but rest assured that they are fun, imaginative and luxe.

A bit of background: the SG Airways shochu cocktail pairing course is about travelling, albeit with your tastebuds, with each food-and-drink pairing inspired by one of Gokan’s favourite destinations. What really elevates this experience is the attention to detail; everything from the selection of music and tableware to the printed menu that looks like a boarding pass conspires to convince you that you’ve ‘arrived’ at the intended destination.

The eight-course ‘Business Class’ (¥17,000) starts at 6pm, while the deluxe ‘First Class’ (¥22,000) with a whopping eleven courses will depart at 8.30pm. Starting in January, SG Airways will only offer ‘First Class’ courses, which will be available at 6pm.

Reservations are essential; book your seat here.
