Suzuyoshi, located in the centre of Asakusa's Stew Street, offers a C-shaped counter, tatami-mat seating and open-air tables, with patrons drawn in by the stew and the yakitori skewers. The beef tendons, seasoned with Korean-style spicy peppers, or the giblet stew, gently cooked up with a mild miso flavour, are both highly recommended. Hoppy is available on tap, and the lineup of shochu here far outclasses that of rival establishments.
