Takara offers welcome sanctuary in the echoing concrete of the International Forum’s basement. The food is reliable – standard modern izakaya fare, bolstered with a few Spanish-style tapas – but the main draw here is the brilliant selection of sake from throughout Japan, plus fine microbrewed ales and a better-than-expected wine list. The place also serves good set lunches.
