For a citywide festival that’s actually a month long, the event title of Tokyo Cocktail 7 Days couldn’t be more misleading. Having said that, we’re thankful to have more than just one week to sample the drinks Tokyo’s top bars have concocted for this year’s cocktail extravaganza – especially after the dry spell we endured amid the prolonged Covid-19 state of emergency.
From October 14 to November 13, roughly 80 bars in the city will be serving up 320 kinds of boozy beverages specially crafted for the occasion. You can bet the bar will be set high for this one – many of the participating watering holes were ranked in the most recent World’s 50 Best Bars list, including The SG Club and Bar Benfiddich.
Not sure where to go first? For a preview of the cocktails on offer, you can click on each participating bar on the event website and see how their respective mixologists have interpreted this year's theme: ‘Time to Refresh’.
Cocktail Passports for the event have sold out. Don’t worry, you can still participate by visiting the bars and ordering the special-edition cocktails, all of which are available at a fixed price of ¥1,100 (excluding service charge).
