That Kirin investment sure is leading to concrete (and wood, and plastic) results: following Akasaka, Kanda and Aoyama, Kichijoji was the fourth Tokyo neighbourhood to get its own Yona Yona bar. As fans of craft beer in Tokyo will have heard by now, Yona Yona parent Yo-Ho Brewing teamed up with the above-mentioned beverage giant in 2015, and the expansion of this beer bar range is obviously part of the duo's new and aggressive PR strategy. Not that we're complaining: Kichijoji's Beer Works is a highly competent watering hole, carrying the entire Yona Yona line on tap and offering excellent sausages, freshly roasted chicken and other very brew-compatible edibles.
