Boogie in Motion

A trio of Tokyo DJs wind the clock back to the golden era of dance music – the mid-'70s to mid-'80s, to be precise – at The Room on Saturday night. Force of Nature's DJ Kent does Italo and disco, Soil & "Pimp" Sessions frontman Shacho serves up some funk, jazz and Latin grooves, and music scholar Arni Kristjansson supplies the boogie (as heard on his recent Boogie Mixx 5).
