Club Museum feat. Tokimonsta

Unit is having a little Hina Matsuri of its own on Saturday night, when LA beatmaker Tokimonsta will be taking the helm for an extended live set in the main room of the Daikanyama club. Last seen at the Brainfeeder party at Eleven last October, Toki (born Jennifer Lee) is something of a local favourite: she released her debut album on Tokyo imprint Listen Up in 2010 before signing with Flying Lotus's label, while her katakana-esque stagename ensures that she's constantly – and erroneously – being taken for Japanese-American. If her production work thus far has shown a healthy affection for the kind of psychedelic hip hop patented by her label boss, there's no telling exactly what Tokimonsta she might dredge up during a long-form set like this one.
