With Tokyo's club scene languishing in the doldrums, this might seem like an odd time to open a new 1,500-capacity nightspot. The jury's out on whether the new Sound Museum Vision, which flings open its doors tonight, is an act of confidence or sheer foolishness – though the fact that it's overseen by the people behind long-running Daikanyama club Air would suggest that the operation is in a safe pair of hands. They've certainly assembled an impressive – if not terribly original – lineup for their debut party, with a DJ roster that reads like a who's who of Tokyo clubland royalty. DJ Krush, Ken Ishii, DJ Emma, Ko Kimura, DJ Wada and Raphael Sebbag are just a few of the people taking part, with music spread across four different rooms.
