New club openings have been few and far between in Tokyo in recent times, with Shibuya's Contact the only notable venue to start business in 2016 so far. Hence, we're more than a little excited about Sankeys, opened in the space vacated by Air at the end of last year. The Tokyo outpost of an operation with roots in Manchester and branches in New York and Ibiza, Sankeys aims to charm locals with programming heavily slated towards underground house and techno. Accompanying the club is ground-floor Cuban restaurant Café Habana.
