Clean energy-fueled music fest Synchronicity heads back to Shibuya this month for another afternoon of live painting and sounds from the less abrasive corners of the alternative music scene. Never the most adventurously programmed of events, the festival is welcoming back a good few repeat performers, space rockers Rovo, sprawling jazz-rock-butoh ensemble Shibusashirazu Orchestra and post-hardcore mavericks Zazen Boys among them. But it's not all old-timers here: also keep an eye out for up-and-coming jam bands like Nabowa and Indus & Rocks, plus ever-entertaining synth-pop-rap oddballs Group_inou. Here's the complete lineup:
