Paris Opera – Onegin

This classical ballet, loosely based on Alexander Pushkin’s verse novel, tells the tale of Tatiana, a young and naive romantic, who falls for a nihilistic stranger, Euegene Onegin. Onegin has come to the countryside looking for something that might distract him from the monotony of his everyday life in the city. Even after winning the affections of Tatiana, Onegin is reckless in his courtship and his selfishness ultimately leads to his downfall.
