Cine Rock Festival 2016

Celebrating six decades of rock'n'roll with a packed programme of legendary concert films and quality documentaries, this festival at the Marunouchi Piccadilly cinema shows off classic flicks like Rockshow, the 1980 collection covering the Paul McCartney and Wings 1975-6 US tour, 1981 stunner Queen Rock Montreal and Prince's Purple Rain (1984), as well as newer fare like David Bowie Is, the 2014 documentary based around the critically acclaimed exhibition of the same name, and F Gary Gray's Straight Outta Compton (2015). This year's Cine Rock is collaborating with the touring Bakuon Film Festival, which means 15 of the movies will be screened with the volume turned up to eleven.
