Time Out says

Having gone 100 days over schedule to wrap up ‘Jaws’, Steven Spielberg once feared he would never be given another chance to direct in the film industry. Despite facing the challenge of making the first major motion picture to be shot on the ocean, Spielberg received overwhelming praise for his work after the film was released and ‘Jaws’ was hailed as one of the most iconic pieces of American cinema.

This summer, the 1975 blockbuster will return to the big screen in Yokohama with the addition of a live symphony orchestra performing the Academy Award-winning score by John Williams. While the mechanical shark used to film the movie might not seem as scary when compared to the visual effects we have today, the movie’s haunting soundtrack is a testament to the timeless power of music and its importance role in cinema. Try to get some beach action in before you revisit this cult classic –  the terrifying echoes of the main ‘shark theme’ might put you off from swimming in open waters for a while after watching it.

Note: This film will be screened in English with Japanese subtitles.
