Time Out says

Defiantly political and fearless of taboos until his untimely death in a traffic accident in 2012, director Koji Wakamatsu (1936-2012) rose through the 'pink' film ranks in the '60s and '70s with flicks like Violated Angels, Sex Jack and Ecstasy of the Angels. After the turn of the millennium, he focused unambiguously on exploring some of the more unseemly episodes in Japan's modern history, going to great personal lengths in directing the overstretched but powerful United Red Army (2008) and completing his portrait of Yukio Mishima, 11:25 The Day He Chose His Own Fate (2012). This 25-film programme is a comprehensive look at Wakamatsu's career and convictions, and includes talks with the likes of Masao Adachi, Shima Ohnishi, Yuya Uchida and Arata Iura.
