Masterpieces of Music Cinema

A colourful 14-film programme composed of both Japanese and international flicks themed on music or featuring notable musical performances, Theatre Shinjuku's September special includes classics like The Blues Brothers (1980) and Wild Style (1983) alongside documentaries such as Scorsese's 2008 Stones tribute Shine a Light and domestic fare – among the highlights are musical drama Linda Linda Linda (2005) and Flashback Memories 3D (2012), which is about didgeridoo player Goma's recovery from a serious car accident.
