Open-air mobile cinema company Kino Iglu is bringing its outdoor film expertise to Azabudai Hills this July for two days, setting up on the spacious lawn at Azabudai Hills Central Plaza. They’ll be showing one film per day from 7.15pm on July 11 and 12.
The screening on Friday July 11 will be Jazz on a Summer’s Day, a laid-back vintage concert film from the late 1950s that documents legendary musicians such as Louis Armstrong and Thelonious Monk at the height of their careers. On the following evening, the 1986 classic coming-of-age film Stand by Me will be screened.
Before the show starts, stop by the El Camion beer bar by T.Y. Harbor Brewery, a massive mobile bar built from a shipping container and mounted on a semi-truck. Here, you can enjoy refreshing pints from a selection of half a dozen craft beers along with picnic-style bites like the Black Chilli Cheese Dog and BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos.
There will be no film screenings on July 13.
