'Shin Godzilla' One-Year Anniversary Programme

A very successful franchise reboot that lost out only to Your Name in the race for biggest Japanese movie hit of 2016, Hideaki Anno's Shin Godzilla (Godzilla Resurgence) was partially shot in Kawasaki – which is as good an excuse as any for the cinema at the Kawasaki City Museum to put on this monstrous special programme. In addition to Anno's piece, the four films to be screened include a digitally remastered copy of the original 1954 Godzilla, 1971 cult classic Godzilla vs. Hedorah, and Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991), also shot on the once gritty streets of Kanagawa's second city.
