Time Out says

One of the biggest international short film festivals in Asia returns to Tokyo and Yokohama in June, taking place at Omotesando Hills Space O, Laforet Museum Harajuku, Itscom Studio & Hall, Shibuya's Shidax Culture Hall, the Andaz Studio at Andaz Tokyo and Yokohama's Brillia throughout the month. A total of more than 6,000 films from over 100 countries competed for entry into the main programme, themed 'Cinema Carnival', and around 200 of these contestants will be screened during the festival. Outside of competition, you can look forward to gems like Martin Scorsese's OTT casino promotion The Audition (starring Leo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro) and recent Oscar winner Brie Larson's 2011 film Weighting. Best of all, practically all events and viewings are free, so there's no stopping you from taking in the best of mini-movies from all over the world. All films are screened either in English or with English subtitles – the full programme can be viewed here, while tickets can be booked via Peatix.
