Time Out says

Legendary director Yasmin Ahmad made her mark as one of Malaysia's most acclaimed talents in the film industry with her powerful storytelling and sometimes controversial subjects. In 2005 her film 'Sepet' (or「細い目」meaning 'Slit Eyes' in Japanese) won Best Asian Film at the 18th Tokyo International Film Festival.

This summer marks the tenth anniversary of her untimely death due to a sudden stroke. To celebrate the film icon's legacy, Theatre Image Forum will be hosting a Yasmin Ahmad Retrospective. You can catch a host of her greatest works, including 'Sepet', 'Rabun', 'Gubra', 'Muksin', 'Muallaf', and her last feature film 'Talentime,' which boasts a fantastic original music score by Pete Teo.
