Visit SmartAmp Station’s first clinic, located just four minutes’ walk from Tokyo Station’s Yaesu South Exit. Anyone without symptoms can have a saliva-based coronavirus test done for as little as ¥1,980 (tax included) and get their results the following day. For an extra fee, you can even get same-day test results.
You have to book ahead through the official website, which means there’s no need to worry about waiting times – you’ll be in and out in a matter of minutes. If you’re unable to go to the clinic, you can get a self-testing PCR kit shipped to your home for ¥2,200. Just take a saliva sample and post it back to the clinic for testing.
If you’re being tested prior to international travel, you can get a negative certificate for an extra ¥5,500 (tax included). However, be sure to check the rules for your chosen airline and destination, as some may not accept saliva-based test results.
