Right around the corner from Ueno Station, this new hotel is great for easy transport links. The entire place was designed with an American East coast feel in mind, while furniture comes courtesy of lifestyle brands Journal Standard and ACME. It's also set to be a little chain, with a Shibuya outpost (modelled on the American West coast), scheduled to open exactly a month after this one. Althought breakfast is exclusively for guests, do go for dinner (between 5pm-11pm), which is open to non-guests too.
