Time Out says

'Edo revival' was one of the major Tokyo trends of 2014, with countless restaurants, hotels, museums and artists taking up themes from this golden era of city culture and the arts. The revival of the Nihonbashi area was perhaps the most visible part of the movement, which looks to continue its march into the new year. Following up on last year's Edo specials, Odaiba's Hotel Nikko is launching special menus at two of its restaurants, with the Icho teppanyaki place offering fine Tokyo produce and meat, including Akigawa beef from Akiruno, and Japanese restaurant Sakura serving up seasonal delicacies prepared with Edo-era ingredients and techniques. If mere eating doesn't satisfy your historical cravings, make sure to take the Sumida River cruise or discover Asakusa from a rickshaw – both excursions are available after breakfast or lunch.
