The neighbourhood of Nihonbashi will be hosting Tokyo Kimono Week from Wednesday October 20 to Tuesday November 9. As an extension of this event the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo will be holding Tokyo Kimono Concert in which collector of antique kimonos and marimba player, Mutsumi Tsuuzaki, will give a performance and talk in the 3rd floor Grand Ballroom. Visitors can also enjoy desserts by Japanese pastry chef, Hiroshi Igarashi, who was the inaugural winner of 2010 World Pastry Team Championship in the category of ‘Degustation (taste)’. For both kimono lovers and begginers, an elegant and fun time is in store at this six-star hotel. The event has a capacity of 120 people; bookings are essential.
