Time Out says

With roots that reach back into the 1820s, Edo Kiriko glassware is one of Tokyo's most famed forms of traditional craftsmanship. Celebrating July 5 or 'Edo Kiriko Day', Kameido's Umeyashiki tourist info centre and souvenir store invites an Edo Kiriko artisan to teach you the intricacies of the craft over the first weekend of July. It's all free, and you're welcome to take your cut-glass creation home afterwards – just make sure to get there early, as participant numbers are limited and first come, first serve is the policy.
