A haven for train geeks of all ages, Yokohama's Hara Model Railway Museum now dives deep into the history of British train travel with this exhibition centred around a film describing how railroads emerged and evolved in the UK. The work of mini-train collector extraordinaire, the late Nobutaro Hara, the flick in question was shot in 1980 at Rainhill in Lancashire. It documents the 'Rocket 150' celebration, held 150 years after the legendary Rainhill Trials that saw early steam locomotives compete for the right to traffic on the soon-to-be-completed Liverpool-Manchester railway, and the parade of vintage locomotives that took place on the day. You'll also be able to watch a film on antique narrow-gauge trains in Wales, also shot by Hara.
