La Cittadella Summer Festival

Kawasaki shopping complex La Cittadella puts on its very own natsu matsuri over the Mountain Day weekend, setting up around 50 festival stalls on the main plaza and inviting shoppers to try their hand at classic carnival games including cork shooting and goldfish scooping. There'll also be stage shows and performances of traditional music, including shamisen, taiko and shakuhachi flute playing. It's all complemented by the local, somewhat extra-seasonal edition of Oktoberfest, which features copious amounts of German brews, sausages and oom-pah beats.
