Often at the centre of politics and religion in ancient Egypt, the queens and princesses of the pharaohs take centre stage at the National Museum's summer exhibit. Art and artefacts assembled from collections all over the world are on display here, testifying of both the luxury these royals lived in and of the power they wielded. The five-part display ends with a section dedicated to the legendary Cleopatra herself, known as the last queen of Egypt, whose life story is retold through sculptures and paintings.
