Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival) Exhibition

Shinjuku's Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo is hosting its annual hinamatsuri (girl's doll festival) event on March 3. By displaying beautifully dressed ceramic dolls resembling the ancient imperial court, families wish for their daughter’s health and happiness. Marvel at 6,800 dainty, graceful handmade dolls, as well as other traditional decorations. The hanging ornaments are hand-stitched from old silk kimono and made specially for this exhibition. Don't forget to pop by any of the 10 restaurants inside the hotel, all of which are offering special hinamatsuri-themed treats.
