Time Out says

One of the largest of its kind in Asia, the Indian Museum in Kolkata houses a particularly impressive collection of Buddhist art, from prehistoric artefacts to masterpieces from the era of esoteric Buddhism during the Pala dynasty (8th-12th centuries). Around 80 works from this selection are now displayed at Ueno's National Museum, providing an opportunity to see ancient sculptures, inscriptions and other pieces from the birthplace of the faith, as well as from areas like Myanmar and Bangladesh, where Buddhism spread and continued its development in later centuries.
