Time Out says

Housing a number of facilities within its walls – including overnight accommodation, event halls and several restaurants – Kudan Kaikan is used for various formal events, including marriage ceremonies, banquets, lectures, previews and conferences. They also have a standing as a venue that’s used for junihitoe (twelve-layered ceremonial kimono) wedding ceremonies, coming-of-age ceremonies and award ceremonies. Furthermore, each summer, the building opens a particularly popular rooftop beer garden. Designed by Japanese architect Ryoichi Kawamoto (who also designed the famous Dojunkai Apartments), Kudan Kaikan carries with it a long and distinguished history, and is a fine example of architecture from Japan’s early Showa era.
