Time Out says

This museum focuses on Minato ward’s nature, history and culture and is set inside the former Public Health Hospital, which was built in 1938. The historical building was designed by Yoshikazu Uchida, a former professor of architecture at the University of Tokyo. The steel-framed and reinforced concrete structure features a Gothic-style exterior covered with scratch face bricks, a style also known as ‘Uchida Gothic’. Make sure to take a look at the old lecture and central halls, which have remained in their original states.

The permanent exhibition introduces the history of Minato ward focusing on three aspects: 'the dynamism of the sea and people', 'the expansion of the city and its culture' and 'people's movements and lives'. In addition to the regular exhibition, you’ll also find special and temporary exhibitions held four times a year. There’s also a café, souvenir shop and library on site, offering plenty of ways to enjoy this stunning building.
