The Japanese postal system is renowned for its efficiency and punctuality. If you're interested in knowing how this convenient service became what it is today, you simply have to visit the newly opened Postal Museum, located on the ninth floor of Tokyo Skytree Town. Successor to the old Communications Museum in Otemachi, this shiny space divides up the history of delivering letters and packages into seven sections, which together make up the permanent exhibition, while also featuring a 'letter lounge', an event space, souvenir shop and on-site post office (of course). Finally, philately nerds will enjoy the 330,000-piece stamp display.
