If you missed out on our Sanrio Puroland ticket giveaway earlier in the year, here's some consolation: on Thursday and Friday this week, the über-cutesy theme park is offering free entry to everyone. Yup: you can spend the day hanging out with Hello Kitty and pals and pay absolutely nothing for the privilege. From 7.30am on both days, gate staff will be issuing entry tickets on a first-come, first-served basis (up to three per person). If the place gets too crowded, they'll stop giving tickets out – though a small consignment will be placed up for grabs from 4pm, for the benefit of people who aren't able to go in the morning. Look out for special performances throughout the day, plus appearances by a whole bunch of costumed characters who have nothing to do with Sanrio, including Sonic the Hedgehog and Fujiya mascot Peko-chan.
