Time Out says

Visitors can climb inside the life-size model of a space shuttle that stands upright in the middle of this science museum an hour from Shinjuku. You can practise moving cargo with a robot arm simulator, while a moonwalker simulator recreates the low-gravity environment of the moon’s surface. Star shows are held at the planetarium, one of the world’s largest. While astronomy is the major focus, there are also geology and biology sections. The major drawback is poor public transport access, with infrequent bus services from local train stations.
