Music and sport shake hands at Aiming High, a new festival held at the ski jumping stadium in Hakuba, one of the region's top ski resorts. In addition to gigs by Scha Dara Parr, Suiyobi no Campanella, the Shibusashirazu Orchestra, Takashi Fujii, Salu and Zombie-Chang, the programme includes paragliding, night-time canoeing, tree climbing and hot-air balloon tour opportunities. There's also a free-entry zone with food booths, various workshops and pop-up stores, while the nearby campsite will be opened for festival-goers as well.
