The inaugural Tokyo Festival of Intangible Culture gets off to a raucous start with a pair of concerts by Haiti's Raram No Limit, a carnival band whose raw, almost trance-like grooves are likely to appeal to fans of Congolese junk percussionists Konono No 1. Too bad that they're playing in the staid confines of Sogetsu Hall rather than Yoyogi Park, but we suspect they'll manage to get a chunk of the audience dancing all the same.
