Chinza Dopeness & Doping Band

A sense of humour goes a long way in hip hop. While his peers attempted to prove their street cred or sell their soul to the J-pop machine, Chinza Dopeness preferred to goof it up with Beastie Boys-esque trio Kochitola Haguretic Emcee's – and earned the title of Japan's nimblest rapper in the process. The 2009 Ultimate MC Battle champ is getting increasingly ambitious in his pursuits these days: next month he'll be releasing an album with the Doping Band, a funktified live act who made their debut at Summer Sonic a couple of years ago. This pre-release party sees perform live with the group and a few special guests, including guitarist and percussionist Naoito, keyboard wiz Tucker and fellow Kochitola member Katomaira.
