She's a blonde, dishy DJ/blogger/sci-fi nerd from Brooklyn making synthpop that sounds like early Human League. In other words, it'd be easy to hate on Computer Magic. Yet the singer (real name Danielle Johnson) proves to be more charming in the flesh than she is on paper – not least because her melodies are every bit as catchy as Phil Oakey and co. were in their prime.
