While most of the nation were entranced by the AKB48 elections last week, a smaller, savvier bunch of viewers were tuning in to Dommune to watch a show with Keiji Haino. The 60-year-old multi-instrumentalist has been a prolific – and divisive – figure on the experimental music scene for four decades now, but he's earned renewed interest thanks to an upcoming film, Document Haino Keiji, which is due to hit cinemas next month. He'll be headlining with his group Fushitsusha at the pre-release party, which also features sets from noise overlord Merzbow, frequent collaborators Jim O'Rourke and Eiko Ishibashi, and oddball troubadour Nanao Tavito, plus a reading by Sotaisei Riron vocalist Etsuko Yakushimaru.
